            2007 Youth Citizen Police Academy

             Saturdays, October 6 - November 10th
                             8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
                         Wendler Middle School
Bring your own lunch. Snacks & drinks provided by APCAAA.
                               
Course Outline

Applicant Requirements:

The Applicant must be 14 - 18 years old & enrolled in a school program.

Must have Parent /Guardian permission to attend.

Must submit an essay: See last page of application

Must attend all six Saturday sessions.

Must wear appropriate attire & footwear.

Must provide a medical waiver and have a parent/guardian present to actually participate in the Physical Agility Testing segment.

Registration fee of $20 will be collected at the first class.

Transportation is the responsibility of the attendee and/or parent/guardian.

After initial selection, a background check will be conducted on the Applicant prior to final acceptance.

Carol McNeil, nominated Evan Rockwell for his outstanding & tireless efforts in organizing the
first Youth Citizen Academy. Evan was honored, with many other teens from across Alaska,
at the Spirit of Youth Awards banquet March 29, 2008 at the Egan Center.
